Safety Patrol Boat & Staff Training
We are never too busy for some staff training, and today some of our team took part in Safety Patrol Boat Training.
You will always see our safety patrol boat continuously monitoring the coastline. As well as having fun and wanting you to create some fantastic memories, safety is a top priority when it comes to our customers and staff alike.
No matter what activity you are taking part; whether you are hiring a self-drive boat, scuba diving, hiring a jet ski or chartering one of the luxury yachts.
You can rest assured, safe in the knowledge that one of our team is always on hand. Most of our staff are First Aid qualified, and many have further qualifications from PADI and other organisations. Before you depart on any of our equipment (boats, jet ski, sailing, windsurfing), we will give you a safety briefing. We spend at least 30 minutes covering everything you will need to know and depending on the activity; it can be longer. There are many water users in the area, from passenger carrying day-trip boats to fast-moving personal watercraft. So it’s essential to remain vigilant whilst still enjoying yourselves.
We have two full-time Safety Patrol Boats. You’ll know them instantly. They are bright red RIBS usually with one or two crew and have medical equipment onboard.
Although these boats are tasked with your safety, they can also assist you with any questions you may have. Such as anchoring effectively, how to get in touch with Latchi Watersports Centre quickly by VHF Radio and, even advice on the best snorkelling locations to visit.
