We all know that going on holiday with our kids means finding half term activities suitable for the whole family. And, they need to be especially entertaining. If you are staying in or around Paphos, here are a few of the top suggestions that may be just the ticket; for you and your family.

Boat Hire

Did you know that you can hire the smallest boat for just €55 for one hour? It is licensed for up to 6 people and is a great introductory boat for those people looking for a quick drive out on the open water. If you’re looking for a little more luxury, why not book a full day on one of our largest self-drive boats. We have boats from 50hp right up to 250 hp and, the most luxurious also have a cabin. Need some water sports toys? No problem, we have Waterski, Wakeboards, Tubes and fishing equipment. We also provide snorkelling equipment and an ice box completely FREE OF CHARGE. Parasailing

You can fly solo or tandem though small children can only fly with a responsible adult. There are no restrictions regarding height, age or weight, providing you can fit in the harness!  Health issues or disabilities do not preclude you from enjoying this activity. And, get to see the Akamas National Park from the air. Who knows? If you’re lucky, you may see dolphins and turtles that are regular visitors to our coastline.

Diving

We make daily fun dives for qualified divers to several dive sites along the Akamas. Including St. George’s island; which is known as one of the best dive sites in the west of Cyprus. St. Georges’ 40-metre wall is teeming with life and the water is so clear that seeing is believing.

We run courses for absolute beginners and for those advancing to instructor level. A small health questionnaire must first be completed. The only stipulation is that you must be 8 years or older to take part.

Watersports

Whoa! This is a big one. We have Watersports half-term activities for everyone, including Jet skis, tube rides, canoes, banana rides, wakeboard and skiing lessons and tows. We provide dinghy sailing for beginners or for intermediates. Why not take an internationally recognised certificate? We are an RYA (‘Royal Yachting Association’) Training Centre; for both sail and power.

Yacht Charters

Aphrodite Waterpark

For another fantastic fun day out for the whole family, you could visit the waterpark. If you’re staying in the Paphos area, half term activities like this one certainly keep everyone happy. Aphrodite Waterpark is the biggest waterpark in the region. A one-of-a-kind naturally landscaped aqua adventure centre.

Situated in Kato Paphos on the coastal road, it is easily accessible by car or by local bus.

This non-stop aquatic thrill-fest has high-speed water slides, an extensive lazy river, wave surge pool, lots of swimming areas and a spectacular small kids’ water-play area. There are food courts and beverage areas spread throughout the park. All connected by a lush, tropical environment that is both immersive and interwoven.

Kings Avenue Mall

Kings Avenue Mall is an impressive full concept shopping mall. It is ideally situated in the heart of central Paphos, convenient for both residents and tourists.  This modern mall does offer visitors a real shopping experience.

Not only is this mall the most popular shopping centre in the region; it has several fast food restaurants, an arcade with some fun family games and a cinema. All of which should easily occupy the kids for a few hours this half term. With multiple shops selling everything from clothes, toys, electronics, homeware and healthcare, and cafes with inside and outside seating areas, there is plenty to occupy the adults too.

It also has a large underground car park, which is free 🙂

Horse Riding – Eagle Mountain Ranch

Eagle mountain ranch has some beautiful ponies and horses that everyone will adore. Whether you are young, old, experienced or a beginner this is one half term activity not to be missed. They also provide therapeutic riding experiences. This has been shown to be beneficial to anyone with physical or emotional disabilities. Just being involved with a horse can lift the mood and spirit of a person.

Eagle Mountain is just a short distance from the main town of Paphos. In the quiet countryside area of Mesogi – which is a fantastic pony trekking area.

Depending on your requirements they can arrange a horse riding session to suit you (individuals or party groups are catered for) they can organise a half day trek along the beautiful country tracks where you will ride past Pomegranate and Olive tree orchards, and take in the amazing sea views.
