Pomos is a little town with a beautiful traditional fishing harbour, hidden in a secluded bay. During the trip you’ll take a slow cruise along Chrysochous Bay toward Pomos, with the option for swimming and snorkelling at one of the many picturesque coves. You may even spot dolphins along the way! This trip can be done in a half day, or stretched over a full day, with the option of visiting the Akamas national park. You can enjoy lunch at the famous fish restaurant, which serve’s the day’s catch from the local fishermen, and enjoy a glass or two of Cypriot wine.
Paphos is a coastal city located south west of Latchi. The journey to get there is absolutely breathtaking, through the Akamas national park, and down the opposite coast of the Akamas peninsula. There are many idyllic bays along the way where you can swim and snorkel, and this whole area is absolutely steeped in history and legend, so plenty of stories to hear. Paphos harbour itself has many vibrant waterfront bars and restaurants. They cater for all tastes, from traditional Cypriot fish meze’s to modern contemporary cuisine. Paphos castle, based in the harbour, was originally a fort built to protect the harbour. It has been rebuilt several times over history, and is now one of the many historical monuments in Paphos.
Agios Georgios is a small fishing harbour situated on the way to Paphos. This quaint marina has a local restaurant with amazing views. There is much to explore in this small area, including tunnels and caves carved into the rocks, and a lovely Byzantine church on the top of the hill.
