Continuing our Beach Clean Week with GreenDot Cyprus Public Co Ltd.
Johnny H, Johnny A, and Nicola went out to St George’s Island to remove a large fishing net yesterday. After a tough 4 hours and some deep dives down to 45 Metres, they hauled the net back on to the boat; making quite a mess.
We are really proud to announce our association with 4Ocean.
As you may already know, 4Ocean is a global company actively removing trash from the ocean. Inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans and coastlines 1 lb at a time (just 500g).
Latchi Watersports in conjunction with SPP Media once again completed the annual clean-up of the Akamas National Park (#cleanakamas)
We provided 8 boats and drivers to take approximately 100 lovely volunteers #cleanakamas around different parts of the coastline collecting litter & junk that people had carelessly left behind.
A great dive around St. Georges Island, Cyprus.
St. Georges Island, this was one of many dives around the Akamas Peninsula, a perfect location to do all sorts of dives. A Must-Go-Location for Scuba-divers, Free-divers and Snorkeling.
The Akamas & Latchi Wildlife is something to behold!
Recent reports confirm that Cyprus can boast having over sea 1,500 turtle nests as part of a protection programme (started in 1978) and a programme which is considered one of the best in the Mediterranean. And, the majority of these nests are found in the Akamas & Latchi area.
When we said that the pristine waters of the Akamas were something special. We weren’t kidding!
These pristine waters are free for all of us to enjoy. Furthermore, if you want to dive off the Akamas, then you really need to talk to Latchi Dive Centre. We’ve posted a few photos of just how clear and welcoming the coastline and sea is around Latchi and the Akamas Peninsula. You can also find them on our Facebook Page.
